Second Degree Admissions Open at ASMA for 2026/2027

Closed Joint-Stock Company "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping" (ASCO) Public Legal Entity "Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy" (ASMA)

announces the admission of documents for second higher education on a paid basis (part-time/correspondence form) for the 2026/2027 academic year in the following specialties:

Specialty: 6006006 – Marine Navigation Specialty: 6006012 – Operation of Ship Power Plants

Document submission for second higher education is carried out electronically via the portal.edu.az platform. Applicants wishing to enroll in the specified specialties submit the required documents online and, upon meeting the relevant requirements, earn the right to obtain a second higher education.

Document submission will be open from June 9, 2026, to August 24, 2026.

Individuals registered on portal.edu.az will be invited to an interview at the Academy. Candidates called for the interview must submit the following documents:

  • Application addressed to the Rector
  • Notarized copy of the higher education document (diploma and diploma supplement)
  • Certificate from the place of work (for employed individuals)
  • 6 photographs sized 3x4
  • Copy of ID card
  • Health certificate
  • Residence certificate

Annual tuition fee: 3,800 AZN.

During their studies, alongside the academic diploma, students are provided with a working certificate (license), a seaman's record book, a seaman's identity document, and relevant certificates.

Note: Individuals who received higher education in foreign countries after 1993 can apply for second higher education at the Academy only after their diplomas are recognized in the established manner by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The basic educational data of persons applying for second higher education must be reflected in the "Student-Graduate" state electronic information system (TM DEMS).
