Support from ASCO

  • ASCO rewards top students with an additional scholarship: in the spring semester of 2020, for example, 71 bachelor’s and 4 master’s students received a special scholarship by order of the ASCO Chairman (news).
  • Additional scholarships have also been paid to students admitted with high scores — to 42 students in 2019 (news). ASCO sets the conditions each year.
  • ASCO’s Shipping Scholarship Programme gives graduates the chance to take a master’s degree abroad — Professional development and study abroad.

Social protection and help

  • The Academic Council may establish student scholarships from extra-budgetary funds and take decisions on students’ social protection.
  • The Student Trade Union Committee monitors timely payment of scholarships and helps with accommodation and discounted sanatorium vouchers.
  • The Student Youth Organisation looks into students’ social problems and raises them with the management.
