Quality Management and Monitoring

The Academy's quality policy rests on the unconditional fulfilment of the international and national standards governing teaching, simulator training centres and services for training maritime transport specialists, and covers every level of the organisation.

The Academy has worked continuously to these standards in its quality management system for training maritime professionals.

American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) certificate

In February 2016 the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), one of the world's leading classification societies, carried out an international audit of the Academy's Seafarer Training and Certification Centre. The audit confirmed the centre's conformity with the ABS Standards for Certification of Training Institutions and Courses, and in 2016 the Academy obtained its ABS certificate of conformity.

The Centre operates to ISO 9001:2015 and has been audited and certified by the international certification body Bureau Veritas. More: Training Centre.
